Lawn pests

Fortunately attack on the lawn by pests is fairly rare but the effects can be devastating, as anyone who has experienced them will know.

The worst attacks come from either chafer grubs or leather jackets.

Leather Jackets are the larva of the crane fly or "daddy long legs"

They are Greyish brown and have distinct head or legs.

Chafer Grubs are fleshy, white grubs with a brown head and six legs, usually found feeding just below the surface of the soil.

Both can cause considerable damage. Usually a brown patch is the first sign and in a lot of cases they will eventually cause large parts of the lawn to die off.

Our staff are trained to be on the look out for these pests and once found we can stop the creatures.
